Rhodes Alumni Counsellor & Life Coach Directory

We are honoured to bring you a list of our graduates who have chosen to list their services on our Alumni Directory. All of our graduates have received significant training to help them become professional coaches and counsellors. Directory listing does not guarantee their ability to help every individual and Rhodes Wellness College does not guarantee the work of every graduate. We always urge potential clients to find the best counsellors and coaches that work for their unique situations.

Biography

I am a Registered Professional Counsellor – Candidate (RPC-C) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association. I work with individuals online and in-person through Moving Forward Therapy in Vancouver. I am also a certified coach and yoga teacher, offering coaching and wellness services through my private practice called Fjaka Wellness.

When we work together, you will be met with compassion and curiosity. This is a warm and non-judgmental space where you are free to be yourself – flaws and all. I believe that you are the expert in your experience and my role is to offer insights, share tools, and gently challenge you along your path of healing and growth.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in law and social justice, mental health non-profits, and as a yoga and meditation teacher. Everything I’ve done has been rooted in a passion for supporting individuals who are choosing to work towards healing and growth in their everyday lives. From my own lived experience, I know how difficult it can be to reach out for help, and I also know what a profound difference taking that first step can make.

Drawing from a holistic approach that considers all aspects of wellbeing (mental, emotional, physical and spiritual), we may work with somatic techniques, expressive arts, mindfulness and/or cognitive therapy. I work from a trauma-informed, person-centred, and anti-oppression lens and am committed to ongoing training in these areas.

My areas of specialization include:

– Trauma
– Finding purpose & meaning
– Managing stress
– Anxiety
– Depression
– Emotional distress & dysregulation
– Feeling overwhelmed
– Life transitions
– Career guidance
– Self-esteem/self-worth
– Grief
– Spirituality
– Chronic illness
– Coping skills
