Rhodes Wellness College

Contest Entry #3

I am a dancer and lover of life who aspires to inspire discovery, growth and connection in open and creative environments.

I have been employed as a mental health support worker in the downtown eastside for more than 4 years. Part of my work involves teaching a weekly program at a women’s recovery centre.  This has included various styles of dance and movement as well as arts and crafts.  From this and other previous experience teaching dance I have felt that I could manage and teach with more confidence.

In the future, I would like to share my passions by working with an organization such as “Outside Looking In” which exposes indigenous youth to the arts.  I am also interested in facilitating evening workshops focusing on inspiration and self-discovery.

Taking this course would improve my confidence and provide me with the skills to move forward with my dreams.
